Parini Shah is a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner with Reiter, Hill & Johnson of Advantia and is currently accepting new patients at locations in Falls Church, VA, and Chevy Chase, MD, as well as Washington, D.C. She has earned a Doctor of Nursing Practice/ Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner degree, supporting her dedication to advocacy and providing evidence-based, patient-centered care.

What led you to work in women’s health?

The reason why I chose this profession is that I love the idea of using shared decision-making to advocate for women and help them choose the best choice that there is for their health. I love educating them regarding their health and complex processes regarding women’s health.

My passion for women’s health started at a very young age, when I realized that there was a lack of research and lack of resources for women and what they go through throughout their lifetime. That’s why I proceeded to pursue this career path—to ultimately help them make choices regarding their health.

Do you have any specialities or passions in women’s health?

My specialties and passions within women’s health involve menopause care, reproductive counseling, contraception counseling, and helping treat chronic conditions like PCOS. I enjoy simply providing care across the lifespan for women of all ages.

What is your favorite place ever visited?

My favorite place that I’ve ever traveled to would be Switzerland. I believe the mountains have a special kind of beauty on this earth.

If you could have any superpower, what would it be?

If I were to have any superhero power, it would be to never get tired and to be able to accomplish everything and anything that I wanted to.
